Wilton Shopping Centre

November 2015 saw Clarendon Properties add Cork’s Wilton Shopping Centre to their already thriving portfolio.

Situated only 5 km from Cork City Centre, the shopping centre boasts a high profile position on the south side of Cork City adjacent to Cork University Hospital, the South Ring Road Network and close to both UCC and CIT.

The Wilton Shopping Centre was originally built in the 1970s and opened to the public on December 6th 1979. In 2003 the shopping centre underwent a major extension with the addition of 10 new units and a Tesco superstore. The summer of 2006 saw the opening of a library in the Shopping Centre.

The site extends to 107,000 sq ft and is situated between Penneys and a Tesco Extra. The shopping centre is almost at full capacity and it already includes strong tenants such as Lifestyle Sports, Boots, New Look and Easons. On average the shopping centre experiences an average weekly footfall of 100,000 and has the capacity for over 1,000 cars in the car park.

Clarendon Properties already uphold a prominent presence in Cork, having managed the Savoy Shopping Centre and the Queens Old Castle for many years. Clarendon also own the Courthouse Cambers on Washington Street and were successful bidders for the former Quills shop on Patrick Street.
